Can you Really Make Money Betting on Horses?

Would you love to wake up in the morning, place a few bets, and know that you will make over $500 by the end of the day? Then, you could go do whatever you want. You can begin to make money betting on horses today and you can have this type of life just like many others.

Horse racing is a very popular gamblers sport and it seems that the gambling is all a chance, a guess, and some luck. This is not what you will hear if you talk to a true gambler that does this for a living. Just like a card player or a professional sports gambler these people make a living off the horses.

Some will claim that there is a bit of luck from time to time, but it is all about knowing the horses, placing the correct bets, knowing the odds, and having a good strategy to your bets. They dont bet on specific odds for a reason and they avoid certain horses for the same reasons. There is a formula to the professional gamblers madness and they are able to support their family and lifestyle because of the formula they have.

They have all the research on all the horses. They know who trained them, the blood line, and all the facts needed to make a decision on whether or not that horse will be the winner at the end of the race

I have read many stories of $500 a day profits and even one guy that I know has been able to turn over $1,000 a day almost every time he decides to place bets. He only uses online betting and has one strategy that works and that is all he uses. If he actually does screw up and lose it is usually less than $10 and when he wins it is usually over $100 per win. He has a blast and usually only has to work 3-4 days a week to make his income. Six figures is easy for him and can be for you as well.

Sometimes horses end up with injuries or sickness, and if you knew this you would increase your odds. Some horses are better in bad weather, on grass, or in the cold than others. These are all tips that can increase your odds and help you make money betting on horses.

Web Design 101

So you want to start a Web site, but you don't know where to begin? You are not alone. Many people out there just like you have the same problem. The Internet is so huge, most people don't have any idea where to start. They just know they want to be a part of it.

I was there. When I was ten years old I wanted to make a Web site, and I didn't know what to do. I also didn't know anybody who could help me. So, I went to free hosting sites like Geocities, Angelfire, Fortunecity, and Tripod. I used them to get my feet wet.

My first Web pages were not any good, but working on them taught me the basics. And, working on them more taught me that the basics were all I was going to need to make a nice Web site.

First, when you want to make a Web site, you have to know the most basic thing of all. What is your Web site going to be about? If you can't answer that, you can't go any further. The most important part of a Web site is the content. If you don't know what you want to put into a site, you need to think about it and make a decision. Only then can you move on.

When you know what your Web site will be about, you need to find a place to host it. Free sites like the ones I listed above are good. I recommend Homestead or Geocities for beginners. They both have really easy-to-use editing programs with pre-made layouts. That means you don't need to know one bit of HTML coding to make your site. And, they offer a wide variety of layouts for anything from fun, quirky pages to professional sites.

So now you have an idea and you have somewhere to host your site; what's left? Remember, you need content. Not just any content, either. You need ORIGINAL content. You cannot take content from anywhere you please unless you get permission first if you want to take something that is not your own.

I suggest beginning with a personal site. Business sites are much more difficult and require more time and effort. With a personal site, you can upload personal pictures, documents, audio and video files, etc. There's no limit to what you can do. But you must remember not to violate any copyright laws.

Now that you have your content ready to go, you need to place it on your page in a way that will be pleasing to viewers. Here's some tips...

  • People DO NOT like to scroll. Try to keep everything within a page to a page and a half. Anything that doesn't fit can go onto another page.
  • Negative space can be a good thing.
  • Don't overcrowd your page. There is no limit to the amount of pages you can make
  • Don't expect everything to be perfect the first time.
  • Talk to friends, family, neighbors, and whomever to get feedback on your design.

As you are designing your site, try to pick up on some of the HTML codes used. There aren't many you'll need to know, but it helps to understand what's going on for future endeavors.

And here's one last tip: Update the site. Nobody wants to go back to a page that is never updated. Add new content at least once a month to ensure returning visitors.
